For an acute attack of wheezing give reliever medication 2 times every 2 minutes and repeat in 10 minutes if necessary.
If reliever medication fails contact your doctor or go to a hospital emergency department.
Call an ambulance if your child is unable to talk.
Call an ambulance if there is drawing in of the chest wall.
Give your child 4 puffs of reliever medication every 4 minutes by a spacer device while waiting for an ambulance.
