Zainab
is a 6-year old girl who was referred by the PHCC Physician for evaluation
of her persistent low hemoglobin levels. Her family members were healthy.
On examination, she was adequately nourished, but had mild pallor and
splenomegaly of 5 cm below costal margin. Lymphadenopathy, - no
bone pains or
petechiae were detected.
