Abstract

Hyperferritinemia is a common finding in clinical practice with many possible causes. Levels above 1000 micrograms per litre can indicate significant underlying pathology, including malignancy; thus, all unexplained hyper ferritinemia require further evaluation. Here, we present a case of a prostate cancer diagnosis in a patient with initial laboratoryfindings of raised ferritin levels and non-specificsymptoms.

Keywords: hyper ferritinemia, underlying pathology
